Peter’s Favorite Career Perk: Sharing With His Fans!

Peter Facinelli may have a playful Twitter persona, but that doesn’t mean the actor who plays Eclipse‘s Dr. Carlisle Cullen is all funny business.

Recently, Facinelli, 36, had a particularly moving encounter with a fan, who approached him after her daughter’s death.

“A woman whose daughter I met when I did an autograph signing came to a different autograph signing a year later and she showed me a picture of me and her daughter,” the actor told PEOPLE at the Eclipse premiere in L.A. “She said, ‘My daughter met you last year, and she passed away in a car accident. I just wanted you to know how much you impacted her life before she passed away. This picture meant the world to her.’ “

‘Eclipse Is Most Macho Film’

Peter Facinelli has revealed that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is his favourite film of the franchise as it is the most macho.

The actor, who plays Carlisle Cullen in the films, also insisted that the sequel’s diverse themes make the new movie very interesting.

The 36-year-old told Bang Showbiz: “With Eclipse, there’s even more action, so for me, as a male, it’s my favourite because I like the testosterone of all the action, yet you still have this love triangle that’s heated up even more.

“It hits on a lot of different themes, like vengeance and the alliances formed between two families.”

Facinelli previously described the fanbase behind the Twilight franchise as “phenomenal”.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse opens June 30 in the US and July 8 in the UK.

Peter Thinks Taylor Lautner Should Keep Shirt Off

Yay, hear it from dad! Robert Pattinson’s dad in Twilight says Taylor Lautner should always be shirt-less!

Peter Facinelli, who plays Rob’s dad in the Twilight series, said Lautner should always flash his six-pack whenever he could.

Why? “He worked really hard for those!” said Facinelli at the Father’s Day/Khaki’s Make the Man fundraiser in NYC Thursday.

He added, “I don’t think he should hide them. If I had that six-pack, I would never wear a shirt!”

Facinelli also talked about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who’s being rumored to be having a romance off-screen. Both have neither denied nor confirmed their real relationship. But recent reports say Pattinson is taking a step back from Stewart because she’s been saying some crazy things lately, like when she said that being famous is like being raped.

“I think it’s great if they’re happy! I feel like when you watch them on screen, their chemistry always works,” he said.
