Peter Facinelli on ‘Twilight: Eclipse’ training. Peter Facinelli plays the character of Dr. Carlisle Cullen in Summit Entertainment’s wildly popular and extremely successful “Twilight” franchise. Recently, he revealed some information regarding the intense training that took place behind-the-scenes of “Twilight Saga: Eclipse”. According to NY Magazine, Peter said he was extremely excited about the third installment and they had workout competitions on the set of the film.

He stated, “I’m really excited about Eclipse, we did a lot of training for that movie, like six weeks of fight traning. It was funny because it became almost like an in-house competition and everyone was always in the gym or working out. Sometimes we’d work out three times a day. Once time, I was in my apartment and I was going down to do my workout and the elevator doors opened and Kellan Lutz was in there doing push-ups. I was like, “Okay, Kellan, you win! You win the competition!”

We are going to see Dr. Carlisle Cullen in a new light when Eclipse rolls around. You get to see a side of Carlisle you haven’t seen before. There are some great battle sequences.

The fan base has been so phenomenal. When you go to an event, people have flown in from other countries just to take a picture with you. That is a loyal fan base that you can’t even imagine having. I am thankful for all of them. That is why I try to give back in connecting with them on Twitter.

What I like about the third movie is that you get to see a side of Carlisle you haven’t seen before. You actually get to see what his vampire capabilities are because there’s some great battle sequences.

What side, exactly? Well, in Eclipse, Carlisle is right in the mix of the epic newborn army battle, and it’s a common fact at this point that director David Slade and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg made a point of including the battle sequences in the film (a slight – but widely revered – deviation from the Eclipse storyline in that the book is told from Bella’s perspective and she is not present at Carlisle’s fight scene).

It’ll be good to see more of Peter Facinelli in the film, especially as a Carlisle Cullen who causes wounds instead of fixing them.

Question: Does Carlisle have a lot to do in Eclipse?

PETER FACINELLI: Yes, he does a lot. A lot more than the first two films, for sure. You know, what I like about the third movie is that you get to see a side of Carlisle you haven’t seen before. You actually get to see what his vampire capabilities are because there’s some great battle sequences. It’s my favorite book.

When do you hear about Breaking Dawn?

FACINELLI: I don’t know. Usually the fans know before I do, so I’m sure I’ll see it on the internet before I get the phone call.

Is Twitter part of your job now?

FACINELLI: No, I just enjoy what Twitter is because I can really connect with the fans. It’s a great way to share information with them and it’s also a great way to entertain. I like being able to put a smile on people’s faces and I like being able to also mix that up with sharing information with them that’s important, and also letting them know what I’m doing. I’ve had people come to me and say, “Hey, will you tweet this out?” There’s like pay advertisement stuff. I’m not into that. I like to keep my Twitter pure. I don’t want to sell my followers anything. I want to be able to have that fan base so I can tell them what I’m doing and entertain them.

According to celebrity-gossip.net, Twilight,New Moon,and Eclipse stars, Ashley Greene and Peter Facinelli were seen arriving at Vancouver Airport the other day,after their trip back from Los Angeles for their Labor Day weekend. Ashley Green was sporting some tight jeans,grey sweatshirt,and dark sunglasses.

While Peter was wearing a casual t-shirt,jeans,and a dapper looking hat. Ashley was also carrying her pooch pet past the paparazzi. It was also reported that earlier in the day, she was sporting a petite tank top at LAX airport which showed some newly acquired bruises on her arms, suspected to be from filming the rough fight scenes in “Twilight Saga : Eclipse.”

Ever the multitasker, Peter Facinelli has jetted off of the set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse to play his most important role, as Dad, in Los Angeles.

Dr. Carlisle Cullen tweeted on Saturday that he “dipped down to LA for the weekend. On my way to my daughter’s soccer practice straight from the airport.”

And as our photos indicate, he hadn’t  a moment to spare. Facinelli was in such a parenting frenzy he had no idea he was showing some belly button.

Peter Facinelli took a break Tuesday from filming in Vancouver for “Eclipse,” the third movie in the “Twilight” (teenagers-in-vampire-love) series, to discuss his upcoming flight to Hampton Roads. He vows to use standard airline transportation. No bat stuff.

Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen, a prominent member of the notorious Cullen vampire family, will appear Saturday in broad daylight (noon, no less) at Pembroke Mall in Virginia Beach. He’s doing it to aid the American Red Cross blood drive, an irony that doesn’t escape him.

“I got the idea some months ago when I read an article about a boy in Florida who was badly in need of a certain type blood. It dawned on me that with the phenomenal popularity of the films, we could do something to attract attention to the need for blood donors. I wanted to do it.”

When Peter Facinelli starts rehearsals for ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,’ he and Robert Pattinson and the rest of the gang will be spending a whole week on fight training.

“What happens in ‘Eclipse’ is Victoria comes back and she builds an army of new-born vampires, which are basically new-bitten vampires that are blood-crazed,” Peter tells ET. “She is trying to get this army to come after us so she can get to Bella, so we team up with the werewolves to attack these newly bitten vampires.”

Peter is leaving for rehearsals for the new movie today, and he says that there are two weeks of rehearsals before the fight training, so his wife Jennie Garth and his girls will probably come up to visit.

Peter said the whole cast will be participating in the fight training, because “what happens in Eclipse is Victoria comes back and she builds an army of newborn vampires which are freshly bitten vampires which are basically blood crazed and she’s trying to get this army to come after us so that she can get to Bella and so we team up with the werewolves to attack all these newly bitten vampires.”

And Peter told what fans can expect: “Eclipse has more action in it and so I’m excited to get in there and have Carlisle roll his sleeves up a little bit and get into fight stuff.”

“I leave tomorrow and I’m on Eclipse for three months,” he said. “I’m going to try to have my kids come up for the fight training so they can see what dad does.”
