Peter Thinks Taylor Lautner Should Keep Shirt Off

Yay, hear it from dad! Robert Pattinson’s dad in Twilight says Taylor Lautner should always be shirt-less!

Peter Facinelli, who plays Rob’s dad in the Twilight series, said Lautner should always flash his six-pack whenever he could.

Why? “He worked really hard for those!” said Facinelli at the Father’s Day/Khaki’s Make the Man fundraiser in NYC Thursday.

He added, “I don’t think he should hide them. If I had that six-pack, I would never wear a shirt!”

Facinelli also talked about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who’s being rumored to be having a romance off-screen. Both have neither denied nor confirmed their real relationship. But recent reports say Pattinson is taking a step back from Stewart because she’s been saying some crazy things lately, like when she said that being famous is like being raped.

“I think it’s great if they’re happy! I feel like when you watch them on screen, their chemistry always works,” he said.

Interview

Peter, how does number three beat number one and two?

Peter Facinelli: “I think that they progressively get more action in them. And the love triangle’s definitely got heated up in this third one. And, you know, I’m excited. This one you get to see the Cullen family roll up their sleeves and go to battle a little bit.”

Are we going to see you in action?

Peter Facinelli: “Yeah. Well, yeah, for sure so being able to have a big, cool battle sequence is going to be fun.”

Kristen and Rob and Kristen and Taylor are competing for Best Kiss tonight. Are you able to choose?

Peter Facinelli: “I don’t know. I haven’t kissed either one of them, so I don’t know.”

Peter On Nurse Jackie Finale: Coop Gets His

Peter Facinelli, who plays Coop, likens his character to “a puppy in a room full of people who don’t like dogs.” Though Coop is for sure a doofus, Facinelli says he never plays the part for laughs. Instead, he says, “the more dramatic I try to be, the funnier it is.”

When Sam discovers that Coop slept with his girlfriend, the not-so-good doctor compounds the deception by telling Sam she’d rather be with a doctor than a nurse anyway. This news all but obliterates their nascent friendship (which spawned this awesome/awful rap) and leaves both men in a fragile state by the episode’s end.

“He tries so hard to fit in, and he really wants people to like him, and he wants to believe that people do, but there’s always a part of him that goes home and cries himself to sleep,” Facinelli says.

‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’s Peter Says Dr. Carlisle Cullen Gets To Battle … With Compassion

Peter Facinelli says his Twilight character, Dr. Carlisle Cullen, the adoptive father of Robert Pattinson’s vampire Edward, gets to “roll his sleeves up and go do some battle” in Eclipse, the third movie in the series that is set to be released on June 30.

“I mean, he’s supposed to be the most compassionate man in the world, so I made sure that every time I beat someone up, I said, ‘Sorry’, in my head,” Facinelli told On The Red Carpet‘s Chris Balish at the premiere for Disneyland’s California Adventure’s new attraction, World of Color.

Facinelli said he and his Twilight Saga co-stars enjoy each other’s company off-camera.

“Sometimes just we hang out in each other’s places,” he said. “The first night we were back on New Moon, I cooked everyone dinner, so it was nice.”

He said all three of his and 90210 actress Jennie Garth’s daughters – aged 3 to 12, have seen the Twilight Saga films. The fourth installment, Breaking Dawn, is set to be released as two separate films, Summit Entertainment recently announced.

‘It Would Have Been Silly’ To Have New Cullen Kids For ‘Breaking Dawn’

Peter Facinelli’s glad “The Twilight Saga’s” Cullen family will stay together for “Breaking Dawn.”

“I thought that would be really weird to have to act against other people and all of a sudden those are your family members,” the “Twilight” patriarch told AccessHollywood.com of reports that cast members, including Kellen Lutz and Ashley Greene, had been in doubt for the saga’s finale over salary negotiations.

However, all the negotiations have since been settled and the whole Cullen clan will return for the adaptation of the fourth book in the series.

“I’m glad it all worked out,” Peter said. “I think it would have been silly in the end if, or it would have watered down the franchise if all of a sudden we had a whole new family.”

However, he doesn’t mind changing directors, as each film in the series has had a new helmer. “Dreamgirls” director Bill Condon will join the series for “Breaking Dawn,” with David Slade having handled “Eclipse,” which hits theaters this month.

‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ Is A Bloodbath For The Cullens

The family that slays together, stays together.

At least that’s the case for the Cullen brood.

In “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” which hits theaters June 30, Seattle is ravaged by a series of killings caused by an army of newborn vampires controlled by revenge-seeking bloodsucker Victoria. To combat the threat against Bella ( Kristen Stewart) in this third installment of the franchise, the Cullens must band together and join forces with their sworn enemies, the wolf pack.

“This time around, you get to see their true vampire-ness,” said Peter Facinelli, who plays head vampire Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the series based on the bestselling books by Stephenie Meyer.

Peter Signs On To Play Boxer Vinny Pazienza

Busier than ever starring in Nurse Jackie and the fan favorite Twilight Saga, Peter Facinelli has signed on for a new flick about champion boxer Vinny Pazienza.

According to Hollywood Life, the on-screen vampire is taking on a completely new role as Vinny, who proved everyone wrong by winning the World Champion boxing title after an almost fatal car crash.

Recovering from a broken neck, Vinny defeated Luis Santana in 1991 for the Junior Middleweight title.

The biographical movie is set to start production in 2011, while the third Twilight installment Eclipse, also starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, is due out in theatres this summer.

Carlisle Cullen: The Forbes Fictional 15

Topping the list this year is newcomer Carlisle Cullen, patriarch of the Cullen coven of vampires in the Twilight series of novels. Cullen, age 370, has accumulated a fortune of $34.1 billion–much of it from long-term investments made with the aid of his adopted daughter Alice, who picks stocks based on her ability to see into the future. Low-key and undead, Cullen has spent recent years posing as a mortal doctor in a small town in Washington State.

Jennie Garth Happy To Let Peter Take The Career Lead & Signed New Moon DVD’s

Right now I love taking a backseat to him and being a supportive wife. I’ve been so fortunate in my career; I’ve directed, acted and produced. At this point, I’m completely happy to be a mother and wife and if I work, that’s fine, but he’s more than capable of taking care of us. There’s no competition or jealousy. I’m happy doing what I’m doing. It’s so much more rewarding to be a mom than any acting I’ve ever done.
